Australia Day 2: Boxing Day Shopping Day

The upside of jet lag is waking up early but very awake. My day started at around 6am. I stayed in my room for a while trying to get more sleep and then gave up and got ready for today. We were spending the day with our cousins at Rundle Mall, a long street of shops. It was Boxing Day in Australia so there were many sales and crowded streets.

We first went to a board and card game store and bought some cards. Then we went to a girls fashion store called Valley Girl and I was so amazed at how cheap everything was. I bought a skater dress for $10. I thought America was cheap but I would never be able to find a good $10 dress in America. And the great thing about shopping here is no sales tax. And then I bought a pair of crochet jean shorts for $15. We stopped for burritos at Zambreros, which is like an Australian Chipotle. I got a chicken chiqito. Then we stopped at a tea store called T2 where I bought a pomegranate boxed tea. There were soooo many different teas. Tea isn’t too popular in the US so it was cool to see a large teashop. Then we went to a boba place in Chinatown and I drank a QQ passionfruit green tea.

After that, we ate dinner at home. Our family loves home cooked meals so we never eat out. That night, we drove around and looked at Christmas lights and then went to downtown Adelaide at night.

(Real time update: It's January 4th I have already slipped my sentence a day posts. I will put those up. I will push through these Australia daily posts as well and get them posted asap. I have tons of photos also so when I finish all my typing I will put in pictures.)
